How collection works from Fort William
Every collection starts from our base in Fort William. Collections run on scheduled routes, and the date is agreed with you when you accept the price. Scotland's central belt and north east are closer to us than the English towns: Walsall, Crewe, Atherton and Lowestoft are roughly 300 to over 500 miles away and are grouped into less frequent runs.
There is no collection charge anywhere we cover. Distance is one of the things that sets the price, so the figure we quote already allows for the journey, and the figure we agree is the figure you are paid. How it works covers the rest of the process.
Not on the list?
The towns above have their own pages, but they are not the only places we collect from. Send your postcode with the reg on WhatsApp and we confirm whether we can collect and how the date would work. If a collection is not practical, we tell you so rather than taking the job and letting you down.
No local yards, on purpose
We do not have yards, depots or drivers in these towns. The town pages show the postcodes we cover and what collection looks like there; they do not mean there is a branch round the corner. If you were searching for a scrap yard near you, collection from your address does the same job without the tow.
Questions about where we collect
What details help you plan a collection?
Send the registration, the postcode where the car is parked and a short note on access: tell us if it sits in a garage court, a shared car park or on a narrow street, and whether the wheels turn so it can be rolled. That lets us plan the route from Fort William and send the right truck.
How far will you travel to collect a car?
Our routes start from Fort William. The furthest towns with their own pages, Walsall, Crewe, Atherton and Lowestoft, are roughly 300 to over 500 miles away. For anywhere else, it depends on where the car is and whether a collection is practical, so send the postcode and we tell you plainly. Distance is part of the price we quote, never a separate collection charge.
Do collections in England work differently from Scotland?
The sale is the same on both sides of the border: one firm price, free collection and payment by bank transfer. The difference is how often a route runs. Scotland's central belt and north east are closer to Fort William, while Walsall, Crewe, Atherton and Lowestoft are grouped into less frequent runs. Either way, you know the collection date when you accept the price.
Can you collect a car that is not at my home address?
Yes. Give us the postcode where the car actually is, such as a garage, a workplace or a relative's drive, because that decides whether we can collect and how the date works. If you cannot be there yourself, a nominated adult can hand it over with their own photo ID and your written authority.
Ready to get rid of that car?
Send your reg on WhatsApp for a firm price, or call us. Free collection, paid by bank transfer.
